Live Inspection
Real-time video with intelligent monitoring
Optysys provides a high-performance live video feed with built-in performance metrics, freeze detection, and auto-reconnect. Monitor your inspection in real time and capture images with a single keystroke.
Capabilities
Built for continuous inspection workflows
Every aspect of the live video pipeline is optimized for performance and reliability, from frame capture to display rendering.
- Real-Time VideoUp to 1920x1080 resolution with continuous frame capture via OpenCV. DirectShow support on Windows for reliable camera enumeration.
- Performance MetricsLive FPS counter, frame time, CPU usage, memory consumption, and thread count displayed as a status overlay.
- Freeze DetectionAutomatic detection of stalled video feeds with intelligent reconnection. No manual intervention required.
- Display ModesToggle between Fill and Fit canvas modes. Crosshair overlay marks the center point for precise alignment.
- Image SharpeningReal-time software sharpening using a 3x3 convolution kernel. Toggle on or off depending on inspection requirements.
- Image CaptureSave the current frame in JPG, PNG, or BMP format with configurable quality. Auto-generated filenames with timestamps.
Optimized for performance
Optysys uses direct pixel copy (BGR to BGRA) for frame rendering, avoiding expensive codec operations. Sharpening kernels are cached as static fields, and background threads handle camera capture independently from the UI thread. The result is a smooth, responsive inspection experience even on modest hardware.
